Jodan Uke – Overhead block.
Soto Uke – Outside-to-in block, chin height.
Uchi Uke – Inside-to-out block, shoulder height.
Gedan Barai – Down block.
Morote Gedan Barai – Two handed down block.
Shuto Uke – Knifehand block.
Maebane no Kamae – Both hands up in front of you with palms open (from Hato & Kaiha). Opens your body up for attack; taunts your opponent.

Umi Uke – Lower hand grabs opponent and pulls hand back over the head.
Juju Uke – Block with arms crossed.

Sunae Uke – Shin block.
Uke Kaishi – Block and give back right away.

Morote Uke – Tateken hand on palm of other hand, pushing forward. (From Kokutsu dachi, part of Seinchin.)
Mawashi Uke – Roundhouse block from Kyokushin style.
Nagashi Uke – Sweep block.
